I begun sharing with you last week on the secrets of super-achievers, and I discussed with you what I deem as the first secret of super-achievers, and that is; living with a sense of purpose” Super-achievers are people who have discovered their purpose in life and are passionately living to fulfill that purpose” They are people who have found one thing they spend their lives pursuing with tenacity and discipline” I want to take the discussion further by sharing with you the second secret of super-achievers”

The second secret of super-achievers is that they are visionaries” Super-achievers are people who have developed a vision for their lives” As you probably know, vision is not only that which is perceived in a dream or trance, neither is it only that which is supernaturally revealed to a prophet” Vision is broader in definition than the above” The Hebrew word is hazons and it means”to have a mental image of the future”I prefer to define vision then as having a video screen in your head that plays a movie of where you want to be”

To be a super-achiever you will have to have a video screen in your head that plays a movie of where you want to be” According to Proverbs 29:18,”where there is no vision, the people perish”In other words, where there is no video screen in the head of a person that plays for that person a movie of where he or she wants to be, failure is inevitable for that individual” Where do you see yourself down the road? Where do you see yourself in the next 2, 3, 5, or 10 years? Life will take you nowhere if you have nowhere you want to be in your future”

As a super-achiever, Jesus told the Pharisees:”I know whence I came, and whither I go” (John 8:14)” Super-achievers know where they are going in life” They know how to get from where they are to where they want to be” If you do not know where you’re going in life, life will surely take you where you don’t want to be” It is very important for you to have a vision for your life if you’re to be successful”

One of the major differences between super-achievers and under-achievers is that the former have a vision in life” The latter don’t” God wants your life to be guided by a clear vision” For the person who doesn’t have a vision in life, you must remember Proverbs 29:18,”where there is no vision, the people perish”If the life you are piloting is taking a dive downwards, it might be because you have no vision in life” Every vision must revolve around these questions: what is my heart’s desire? What have I always wanted to do? What is my dream in life?

After you’ve developed a vision for your life, you must realize that there are principles to adhere to in order for the vision to be fulfilled” God told Habakkuk:”write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it” For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”I see six principles in motion from the scripture verse above, but for the sake of space I will only discuss three of the six with you”

First, is the principle of documentation” Whatever you want to accomplish in life ought to be documented” You see, a super-achiever is like the shopper who goes to the grocery shop with a shopping list” He or she knows exactly what to buy because he or she is shopping from a list” However, those who have no list end up buying what they don’t need, or they end up forgetting what they should have bought because they weren’t shopping from a list” Until you document what you want to accomplish in life, your life will be quite disorganized”

The second principle is the principle of timing” What you have to realize is that every vision has an appointed time for it to be fulfilled” That is why Ecclesiastes 3:1 says:”to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven”Life might be treating you the way it is because your time hasn’t come” But when your time shows up, the glory of your vision will also be manifested” According to Ecclesiastes 3:11:”He hath made everything beautiful in His time”You and I are living in prophetic moments, and if we will have faith in God the vision in our hearts will surely be accomplished”

The third principle is the principle of patience” Note that God told Habakkuk that”though it tarry, wait for it”In other words, you have to be patient for the appointed time to come so the vision can be fulfilled” There are times when God will allow your vision to be tested to the point that if you do not have patience, you will give up” It is extremely important for you to have patience with regards to your vision” Hebrews 10:35-36 says:”cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward” For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise”This scripture verse is telling us that through patience, the movie that is playing on the video screen in your head will come to pass”

Super-achievement and success is God’s destiny for you” God desires for you to be successful because success is your right just as blinking of your eye is your right” But until you develop a vision for your life which is in alignment with your purpose in life, life will make no sense to you”
