The Daniel Fast is a powerful spiritual experience to help us seek direction for the year through prayer, and initiate a Fresh Start in our healths and lives.

The Daniel Fast is based on the fasting experiences of the Prophet, Daniel. It’s a fast where some foods are eaten while others are restricted for 21 consecutive days.

The Daniel Fast is a spiritual experience with significant health benefits. You will experience success in spirit, soul (emotion and mind), and body (health and weight) as you submit all of who you are to the Lord and change from the inside out.

DIETARY RECOMMENDATIONS 

Only food grown from seed is allowed and the only beverage is water.

Foods to include in your diet during the Daniel Fast

  1. All fruits
  2. All vegetables, salad
  3. DRINK LOTS OF WATER 

Foods to avoid on the Daniel Fast

  1. All meat and animal products like beef, lamb, pork, and poultry.
  2. All dairy products like milk, cheese, cream, butter, and eggs.
  3. All sweeteners like sugar, honey, syrups, candy, gum, and stevia.
  4. All leavened bread, donuts, cookies, and baked goods.
  5. All carbohydrates like rice, flour, and foods that contain artificial preservatives.
  6. All fried foods like kelewele, potato chips, French fries, and corn chips.
  7. All solid fats including butter, margarine, and foods high in fat.
  8. Beverages like flavored juices, coffee, carbonated beverages, and energy drinks.
